The person behind the product
Meet Joe Lund.
Inventor. Machinist. Always figuring out a better way.
A lifetime of
figuring things out.
Joe Lund is the kind of person who sees a problem and starts working on a solution. An entrepreneur and inventor with a background in machining, he understands how things work—and how to build them better.
That curiosity follows him into the garage, where he loves rebuilding vehicles, especially Toyotas and old Land Cruisers. Whether he’s bringing an old rig back to life or working through a new product idea, Joe has a knack for figuring things out.

His inventions include the Seat Jackers sold through Desert Does It, and he is a co-inventor of PushPilot. Fire on the Fly brings that same practical thinking outdoors: a stainless-steel fire pit, grill, and seat that packs into one bucket.
Joe lives in Hurricane, Utah, with his wife, Melissa. There’s usually a vehicle to work on, a problem to solve, or another idea taking shape.
